About us

Pine Villa is a supportive transitional care site providing short-term services for older adults who no longer require care in a hospital. You, or your loved one, will stay at Pine Villa while waiting to move home with community supports or while awaiting placement in a long-term care facility or another care setting.

We offer 69 private beds, staffed by a team who provide care in a safe environment.

Health care team

Our team

Pine Villa is a new partnership between SPRINT Senior Care, LOFT Community Services and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, working closely with the Toronto Central LHIN. This program is also supported by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

Primary members of our team include personal support workers, practical nursing staff, case managers and recreation therapists. Together, our team brings expertise from hospital, mental health and addictions, and community support services to improve patient care and well-being.

Our approach to care

Pine Villa is a former retirement residence located at Eglinton Avenue West and Allen Road in Toronto. Our goal is to ensure you, or your loved one, receive the support you need while preparing for the next step in your care, which could be home care or a long-term care facility.

Services include:

  • Case management for coordination of health-related services and to support transitions to a permanent residence
  • Assistance with personal care such as bathing and grooming
  • Housekeeping and laundry
  • Daily meals
  • Medication support
  • Social activities and recreation therapy
  • Access to a nurse practitioner and doctor
